Head to Lake Chatuge Near Our Property

Our North Georgia mountain property, only 20 minutes from the North Carolina border, provides easy access to Lake Chatuge, also known as Chatuge Reservoir, named after a Cherokee settlement located nearby.

This 13-mile-long lake is located on the Hiwassee River in North Carolina and extends into North Georgia. What a fantastic attraction to have conveniently located near our Georgia property for sale, with activities for the whole family.

If you love sport fishing, head to Lake Chatuge for its many famous year-round trout streams and rivers. A concrete weir below the dam keeps a steady flow of water going into the riverbed, which raises oxygen levels for fish and the aquatic creatures they eat. Wade fishing for trout is popular in this area because fish are drawn to the weir for its plentiful food.

If you don’t fish, you can head to the Lake Chatuge area from our mountain property for a day of family fun. Other attractions include boating, rafting, watersports, and much, much more.

As the weather gets warmer, we’re looking forward to some fun times at Lake Chatuge. What a great time of year to view our property, which is ready to show anytime.
